How it works

Buying and selling

Passes trade on Cassa's market. The buyer gets the waiting fees and every fee after.

Buying a pass buys its income. You pay once, and everything the pass earns from then on is yours, plus what was already waiting in it.

Before the sale

Seller holds the pass
0.0126 ETH waiting
Listing moves it into the market, so nobody can claim it mid-sale.
Buyer
Pays 0.06 ETH

After

Buyer holds the pass
0.0126 ETH waiting + every fee after
Seller gets
0.0585 ETH
Cassa, 2.5%
0.0015 ETH
A pass listed at 0.06 ETH with 0.0126 ETH waiting in it.

Selling

List

Set a price in ETH. The pass moves into the market so its waiting fees can't be claimed mid-sale.

Change your mind

Change the price or unlist at any time. Unlisting returns the pass to you.

Get paid

When it sells, you get the price minus 2.5%, in the same transaction.

Offers

Anyone can make an offer on any pass, listed or not. The ETH for the offer is held by the market until the offer is accepted or cancelled. The bidder can cancel at any time and gets it all back.

The holder, or the seller if it's listed, can accept the best offer. Cassa's 2.5% applies the same way.

Fees on the market

Sale
2.5% of the price, to Cassa
Listing, unlisting, offers
Free (gas only)
Buyer pays
Exactly the listed price, so a price change mid-purchase can't overcharge you
The waiting balance can change while you look at it, because people keep trading the coin. It only ever goes up until the pass is claimed.

Is a pass worth its price?

The coin page shows payback: how many days the pass would take to earn back its price at the last 7 days' trading volume. Volume changes, so treat it as a rough guide, not a promise.
